Door County Home Builders Association Education Awards

Door County Home Builders Association (DCHBA) is committed to maintaining a strong workforce in the home building industry in Door County Wisconsin.

As part of this mission, DCHBA is offering two education awards for students pursuing a secondary education in the home building industry.

One award is for members of the Door County high school class of 2020 and one is for non-traditional students residing in Door County.

The deadline to apply for these education awards has been extended to October 15, 2020 due to the pandemic interrupting our regular award process last spring.

Eligibility Requirements:

High School Student applicants must:

  • be a member of the 2020 graduating class from any Door County high school
  • have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5 (confirmation must be provided)
  • be pursuing a course of study in the home building industry or related field (carpentry, HVAC, electrical, masonry, flooring, architecture etc.) at a technical college or accredited university

Non-traditional applicants must:

  • be a legal resident of Door County, WI
  • have graduated from high school or received a GED prior to 2017
  • be pursuing a course of study in the home building industry or related field (carpentry, HVAC, electrical, masonry, flooring, architecture etc.) at a technical college or accredited university
