On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, students from several Door County schools met on a property located on N. 19th Ave in Sturgeon Bay to break ground on the 2017-18 school year home build project.
This cooperative project between the Door County Home Builders Association (DCHBA) and the Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) has been in the planning stages for well over a year.
Under the instruction of Seth Wilson, Technology and Engineering teacher from the Sturgeon Bay School District, the students will build a home on the site to be completed by the end of the school year. DCHBA has made arrangements with one of the students to keep our association up to date via a special Facebook page that will be set up just for the project.
